The story is not just for telling or listening, but for applying the lessons learned from it to our lives. Each of the short stories below teaches us something that affects our lives in one way or another.
গল্প শুধুমাত্র বলার বা শোনার জন্য নয় বরং তা থেকে প্রাপ্ত শিক্ষা আমাদের জীবনে প্রয়োগ করার জন্য । নিচের প্রত্যেকটি ছোট গল্প আমাদের কিছু না কিছু শিক্ষা দেয় যা আমাদের জীবনকে কোন না কোনভাবে প্রভাবিত করে থাকে ।
A Clever Fox and A Foolish Crow
Once a crow was wandering here and there in search of food . He was very hungry . Suddenly he found a piece of meat on a ground . He took the meat and flew to a tree . There came a clever fox . He saw the piece of meat in the mouth of the crow . He admired his voice and requested him to sing a song . Hearing this, the foolish crow started to sing . As a result the meat fell down on the ground . The fox took it and ran away . The crow became sad and flew away .
Moral of the story :- Don't trust the flatterers . Otherwise you'll be fooled .
Two Friends and A Bear
Once two friends were passing through a deep forest . Suddenly a bear came there . They were afraid . One friend knew how to climb a tree . He climbed up a nearby tree . But the other friend could not climb the tree . He became helpless . Then he made a plan . He knew that a bear does not eat a dead animal . So he lay down like a dead man . The bear came near him and thought that he was dead . Then he went away . Thus the friend saved himself .
Moral of the story :- A true friend is known in times of danger .
A Thirsty Crow
Once a crow was looking for water . He was very thirsty . Suddenly he found a pitcher . He went to the pitcher . But the water level was at the bottom of the pitcher . So it was beyond his reach . He found some peoples nearby . Then he made a plan . He picked the pebbles up and dropped into the pitcher one by one . As a result the water level rose up . Finally the crow succeeded to quench his thrust.
Moral of the story :- where there is a will there is a way .
The Farmer and His Lazy Sons
There lived an old farmer in a village . He was very poor . He had three sons . All of them were lazy . They did nothing all day long . The farmer was very unhappy for this . One day he became ill . He called his three sons and said to them, "My sons, I am about to die . Dig up the field after my death . You will find all my treasure under the field ." The three sons did so after their father's death . But they found no treasure . They said to themselves, "Why should we leave the field ? We may sow some seeds here ." So they sowed some seeds in the field . After a few months rich crop came out and they became very happy . Now they could understand the actual meaning of the hidden treasure .Moral of the story :- Fruits of hard work are always sweet .
The Dog and The Shadow
Once upon a time there was a greedy dog . One day he stole a piece of meat from a butcher's shop . He was looking for a quiet and safe place where he would eat it . Holding the piece of meat he was crossing a bridge . A river was flowing down the bridge . From the bridge he saw his own reflection in the water . He took it for another dog with a piece of meat in his mouth . For being so greedy, he decided to get that piece too . He opened his mouth to snarl and made a grasp for the other dog's meat . As he opened his mouth, the piece of meat fell into the water and was lost .
Moral of the story :- Don't be Greedy . Greed will cause pain .
A Hare and A Tortoise
Once there lived a hare and a tortoise in a certain forest. The hare was very proud. One day he challenged a tortoise to a race. The tortoise also accepted his challenge. The race started and the hare began to run fast. He thought that the tortoise could not catch him. So after going some distance he rested on the way. Then he fell asleep without realising it. When he woke up, the tortoise had reached the goal.
Model of the story :- Slow and steady wins the race.
